Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
Mathondu collects only the information needed to provide and secure the features you use.
Depending on how you use Mathondu, this may include your name, phone number, business information, store or page content, customer order details, messages, payment records, device/notification information, and information you choose to provide to AI or connected services.
We use this information to operate Mathondu, authenticate users, process orders and platform purchases, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve reliability, and provide optional features you choose.
We do not sell personal data.
1. Who we are
Mathondu is operated by Inbenne Technologies (legal name: Navaneeth B, a proprietorship, GSTIN 29CRIPB9232J1ZI). Principal place of business: 2-271, Nandadeepa, Marpalli Korangrapady Road, Near Nandagokula Play Ground, Bailoor, Udupi, Karnataka — 574118, India.
For the purposes of applicable Indian data-protection law, we act as the data fiduciary for personal data we determine the purposes and means of processing for. When a business using Mathondu receives customer information to fulfil an order or enquiry, that business is responsible for how it uses that information thereafter (see Section 4).
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Account information — phone number, name, authentication / OTP data and related security signals.
- Business / page information — business or organization name, catalog, photos, services, policies, contact information and other content you choose to publish.
- Customer and order information — name, phone, order or enquiry contents, delivery address, map location / pin, messages and status history when customers interact with a Mathondu presence.
- Usage and technical information — browser or device information, logs, security events, push-notification identifiers and approximate network information where applicable.
- Payment information — transaction ids, amounts, status and billing records for Mathondu purchases or supported checkout; payment credentials are generally handled by the payment provider rather than Mathondu.
- AI inputs and outputs — prompts, product photos, descriptions, conversation context and generated content when AI features are used.
- Connected-service information — information received from WhatsApp / Meta or other services that you choose to use or connect (see Section 5).
3. How we use information
We process personal data where reasonably necessary to:
- provide a feature you requested or a service you contract for;
- authenticate users and secure accounts;
- process orders, enquiries, platform purchases and related support;
- prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- maintain reliability, debug and improve Mathondu;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements;
- provide optional features you choose, including AI features.
We process personal data where necessary to provide a feature the user requested, to fulfil contractual or legal obligations, for certain legitimate uses permitted by applicable law, or based on consent where consent is required. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent in a comparable manner, subject to applicable law and any continuing need to retain information for legal or security reasons.
4. Businesses and customer order data
When you create or manage a Mathondu presence, we may collect your phone number, name, business or organization details, authentication information and the content you choose to publish. We send an OTP to your phone so only verified users can manage that presence.
When a customer places an order or sends an enquiry to a business using Mathondu, Mathondu may provide that business with the information needed to respond or fulfil the request, such as the customer's name, phone number, order details, delivery address and map location.
The business receiving that information is responsible for using it only for legitimate business purposes and in accordance with applicable law. See also our Merchant / Seller Terms.
Mathondu may allow customers to save certain information locally on their device. When a customer places an order, the information needed for the order, such as a delivery address or map pin, may be transmitted to Mathondu and the relevant business.
5. WhatsApp and connected services
Mathondu's own WhatsApp support / onboarding number. When you contact Mathondu through our WhatsApp business number, Meta / WhatsApp processes the message under its own terms and provides Mathondu with information such as the phone number and message content needed to respond. We may temporarily store your phone number, setup progress, draft information and timestamps so you can complete or resume onboarding. Setup links we send may be signed and short-lived.
We may send operational WhatsApp messages related to Mathondu accounts or orders (for example order or status alerts with a link to open the relevant page). These are operational messages, not advertising. Meta's privacy terms also apply to messaging on WhatsApp.
Merchant-connected WhatsApp Business accounts and other Meta channel integrations (for example Instagram or Facebook connectivity) may be offered later. When those features launch, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe permissions, data exchanged, retention and how to disconnect. Do not assume those integrations process data the same way as Mathondu's own support number.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers' own privacy policies. Availability of integrations is not guaranteed.
6. AI features
If you use an AI feature, Mathondu may process the content needed to perform that request, such as business descriptions, product information, images, prompts, catalog data or conversation context.
Some AI processing may be performed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. We share only the information reasonably necessary to provide the selected feature and apply appropriate contractual and security safeguards where required.
Do not submit sensitive personal information to AI features unless it is necessary for the feature you are using.
We will explain separately if we ever use user content for purposes materially different from providing or improving the service. AI features are optional; you can use Mathondu without them.
7. Payments and billing
Customer payments made directly to a business (for example via the business's own UPI or QR) stay between the customer and that business; Mathondu does not process those as the merchant.
If you buy Mathondu credits or other platform services, payment is processed by a payment partner. We store what we need to run billing: account phone, purchase amount, pack or product, transaction identifiers, payment status, refund or dispute status when provided by the partner, and a credit balance / usage ledger. Invoices or receipts in admin are platform records of those purchases.
If Mathondu Checkout is made available and enabled, we and the payment partner may process payment data needed to collect amounts, settle funds to the seller where configured, and handle refunds, failures, chargebacks and disputes. Additional details will be provided before Checkout is enabled.
We do not sell payment or wallet data.
8. Service providers and data sharing
We may share personal data with:
- businesses using Mathondu, when needed for orders, enquiries or support they receive;
- payment partners for Mathondu purchases or Checkout;
- AI, hosting, messaging, mapping or other service providers acting on our behalf;
- authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security;
- professional advisers bound by confidentiality, where needed.
We do not sell personal data. Providers are expected to process shared data only for the contracted purposes.
9. Maps and delivery services
Location, mapping, address lookup and distance estimates may rely on customer input or third-party mapping / routing services. Approximate locations and distances do not guarantee delivery availability, time or price.
If optional delivery-partner integrations are offered and you choose them, limited data needed for a booking (such as address and phone) may be shared with that provider so the feature can work.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, complying with legal obligations and enforcing our agreements.
Retention periods differ by type of information. For example, temporary onboarding sessions may be retained for a shorter period, while billing, transaction and compliance records may need to be kept longer.
When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal or technical requirements.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, authentication, secure transmission where appropriate, and measures to protect account and transaction data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will take steps required by applicable law, including notifications where required.
12. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:
- access information about the personal data we process about you;
- correct or update inaccurate information;
- request deletion of information that is no longer required;
- withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent;
- raise a grievance about our handling of personal data; and
- nominate another person to exercise certain rights where applicable.
To make a privacy request, contact us at support@mathondu.com or through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Questions about a specific business's offerings or an order should usually go to that business first. Questions about Mathondu's processing of personal data should come to us.
13. Children
Mathondu is not intended for children to independently operate merchant or business accounts. If we learn that personal data of a child has been processed in a manner requiring parental consent under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate or required, by additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
We will update this policy before launching material new processing (for example merchant Meta channel connections or Mathondu Checkout) so the description matches the actual data flows.
